DIY Birthday FAQs
Where will the proceeds go?
When you create your DIY Birthday fundraising page, you can decide which area of care at the QEII Health Sciences Centre you’d like to support. From life-saving technology for cancer patients to a first-of-its-kind program that provides gift cards to patients who need it most, you will have an impact on local health care in Alicia’s hometown, no matter the area you choose.
All funds raised by our DIY Birthday Fundraisers will directly support the QEII care areas of their choosing. Any costs associated with our DIY Birthday Fundraising x Alicia Mccarvell frosted by Charm Diamond Centres initiative are covered by our generous event sponsors and partners (cash + in-kind support).
Are donations tax deductible?
Yes. Donors who pledge $10 or more will receive an official receipt for income tax purposes from the QEII Foundation (Charitable Business No. 88646 3496 RR0001). Online donations will be acknowledged immediately with their attached tax receipt.
Is there a registration fee?
There is no registration fee to create your own DIY Birthday fundraising page!
