ABOUT THE DA VINCI XI

The da Vinci Xi robot is a groundbreaking surgical tool that has become the gold standard for treating many diseases and cancers. Equipped with four robotic arms and a 3D camera, the robot mirrors the surgeon's movements with unmatched precision, enabling minimally-invasive procedures in even the most delicate and hard-to-reach areas.

This leading-edge robotics technology will support key specialties at the QEII, including thoracic surgery and gynecologic oncology.

Currently, only one da Vinci robot is available at the QEII, limiting the number of life-saving procedures performed each week. Funding a second robot – the latest and state-of-the-art da Vinci Xi – will increase critical access and unlock the ability to expand robot-assisted surgery to other conditions and care areas.
