We are reaching out to the kindness of all Nova Scotians to help support our local Wear Red Canada Campaign being held at the Halifax Infirmary on Feb 13, 2025. The Wear Red Canada Campaign Team is comprised of patient advocates, health professionals, scientists, and researchers. Our mission is to share evidence-based strategies that will transform clinical practice and enhance collaborative action concerning women's heart health in Canada. By donating to our campaign, you will help raise awareness of women's risk to develop cardiovascular disease throughout her life span. 

To thank you for your support we have commissioned a painting by a local artist, Don Campbell.  Don has kindly donated a beautiful and colorful 2.5 X 2.5 feet acrylic canvas painting entitled, "The Flowers of the Public Gardens'.  As a thank you to all of our generous donors you will be entered for a chance to win this beautiful painting. The lucky winner will be selected at 12:00 pm on February 14th.

Our goal is to raise awareness for women's heart health. Globally, cardiovascular diseases affect 1 out of 3 women, yet women everywhere are: 
Under-studied
Under-diagnosed
Under-treated, and
Under-aware
Heart disease is largely preventable. There is a lot we can all do to help reduce the risk. 

Events are held online and across the country to serve as a reminder for everyone in Canada, but especially women, to be mindful, curious, and proactive in the management of our heart health and wellness.

To take care of others, you need to first take care of yourself. Start the conversation about women's heart health today.
