In honour of someone special
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read this.I would like to raise awareness and funds for the QE2 foundation in support of their Mental Health Priorities Fund. I plan to do this in two ways. One is making this page. Two is having an annual "Ride for Rod" where you can order a T-Shirt in support of this foundation and take part in a 28km bike ride in memory of his life.
Behind this cause is someone deeply loved. My brother Rod. He was someone who loved the outdoors, fishing, biking, and walking his beloved dog Finnegan. He had a laugh that will never be forgotten, dance moves that were impressive to watch, and the biggest warmest hug we deeply miss. These are the qualities I will always remember about my brother.
Mental Health does not discriminate. It is important as a community we talk about it. If there is one take away from this, it would be for individuals suffering with this disease to be vulnerable and ask for help when they need it.
